Protected company files show the Briefcase symbol on the icon. In the other state (with the lock symbol having little round symbol upper right), you get the multimedia key functionality without pressing Fn but then have to press Fn to get the F1 through F12 functions.
It will NOT remember what to open with, no matter what. Files can be marked as Personal/Work files by the user (see below). Nothing happens, then "How do you want to open this work file?" appears. When the briefcase icon appears, it causes a 10 second delay when double clicking the file.
What I don't understand is these briefcases do not appear on the same exact files (same OneDrive account) on the non-corporate computers. However, on one computer (Windows 10 Enterprise, with Intune management) all folders inside the local OneDrive folders' icons have a briefcase overlay on the top-right corner. The non-problematic computers are non-corporate installations (Windows 10 Pro). On all computers except one there are no problems with OneDrive. On all computers, I have installed OneDrive which is connected to a business account. I have several computers with Windows 10 as the operating system.
